I was looking at all of the different rewards offered. One is titled Digital Copy & 500 credits, which was 25 pounds. Then the next reward up is titled Digital Copy, which is 30 pounds. However, both of these offer the exact same rewards. Does the 30 pound reward offer something more that I'm just not seeing?

Guess its "i want to give 5£ extra" for the same as above reward thingy 
they are all carry overs from the ks campaign.
so yes it was an early bird special. but not anymore

The 25 is limited, on the ks it was designed as an early order discount on the 30 level which was unlimited. Very quickly the 25's got filled so there was none left. Then Jonty fever set in and people upgraded from 25 and then there was a backfill effect as others moved into the 25. Eventually we reached a point where 25 was not the point to be in at and people moved upwards to the 80, 90 and beyond leaving the situation you have now. If you put money in its not easy to take it out so the 30's are marooned.
That's not completely right . The most appealing pledge was 20 pounds, but the option was not kept available for new backers when the KS campaign ended. I know this for sure because I got one of the last three open slots (see http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1461411552/elite-dangerous). BUT I upped to 90 + 15 pounds delivery at last Friday .
