I have to agree with both points. I have played and loved Planet Zoo since the day it became available to play as a beta (yes, I pre-ordered). But there have been, and still are,
MANY bugs that while not necessarily game-breaking can be very annoying. I think that Planet Zoo is a more than worthy successor of Zoo Tycoon and that they've done a lot of things right from the get-go and it can only get better from here on out. I don't know which other games were nominated or considered, but as far as management goes I think that Planet Zoo, if you look at the gameplay, is in my opinion one of the better (best?) management games out there right now.
I don't think they look at bugs and such when judging a game for management options tbh. If there was an award for 'most polished/finished game' then I highly doubt that PZ would've come even close to the top ten, though.
