Congrats to Planet Zoo

@MikeyMike1 bugs are to be expected from a game that has so much ai and other stuff going on. Still a great game at the end of the day. I imagine it’s not a easy job to try to keep everyone happy plus fix everything that can go wrong with a game like this. Keep in mind it’s only been out a mere three months so I think it’s very much deserved and the best zoo game ever made IMO plus it’s far from complete at this point.

I have to agree with both points. I have played and loved Planet Zoo since the day it became available to play as a beta (yes, I pre-ordered). But there have been, and still are,
MANY bugs that while not necessarily game-breaking can be very annoying. I think that Planet Zoo is a more than worthy successor of Zoo Tycoon and that they've done a lot of things right from the get-go and it can only get better from here on out. I don't know which other games were nominated or considered, but as far as management goes I think that Planet Zoo, if you look at the gameplay, is in my opinion one of the better (best?) management games out there right now.

I don't think they look at bugs and such when judging a game for management options tbh. If there was an award for 'most polished/finished game' then I highly doubt that PZ would've come even close to the top ten, though.

I've also been on these forums displaying severe frustration at some of the bugs but there is no denying what a superb game it is. At the moment I don't think it cash have the longevity of Planet Coaster. As Deladysigner said in her latest video, there is only so much you can do with building habitats, placing animals compared with all the coaster, effects and other options in Planet Coaster.

But we don't know what's in the pipeline do we :)

I try to make the game more varied by building gardens for the peeps and other stuff aside from animal enclosures. But actually the peeps won't used them. Naturally they are coded to pay varying amounts of attention to the animals and even though they react to scenery they won't specifically use dedicated scenic areas unless you give them no choice, shops, toilets etc etc.
