I need a bit of advice please guys.

I started a franchise zoo and am making money like its falling off trees (mostly down to starting with exhibits and animals that breed like crazy – ironically now becoming an issue as it’s a constant pause/sell/adjust) so my business side of things is going ok.

But I cannot seem to gain conservation credits. Im stuck on a low 36 and the 20 you get from saying hello to the odd visitor isn’t really helping when I see the big ticket animals I want are in the 1000-2000 credit band.

Ive only just started with animal displays and gone with the reptile theme so I have saltys, gharials, Komodo, and nile which are now starting to breed. Do I sell those babies (once they mature)?

How is anyone getting 2000 conservation credits?

There are animals that you get more CC by default than for others.
You can say that the harder it is to get your animals to breed (peacocks breed more than tigers do), the fewer the amount of offspring is, and the longer it takes for them to mature themselves (some animals need only two years to be able to breed, others need eight), the higher the default in CC is which you get for releasing them.
Also: the better the stats of your animals, the higher the amount of CC.
If your animal is old, you will get less CC, because this animal won't be able to reproduce as much as a youngster would be able to, and the amount of CC drops dramatically after some years.
However, if an animal is too old, you won't hardly get anything, or won't even be able to release them anymore.

If you want to make even more CC than the default amount, you can sell them on the trading center. I use to bump it up a little over what I would have gotten if I had released them, but the price is totally up to you. Just remember that if it's too high, others won't buy it, so maybe check other animals of that species who are up for sale to get an impression of what your animal might be worth.

Yep just keep trading the low-value animals you have for CC, you'll start to build up your CC fund.

Also, the game does provide animals to buy for cash - you'll see them listed on the market from 'Frontier Zoo'. These get snapped up quickly, so you'll need to spend some time on the market hitting refresh, then snap up the animals for cash when they appear.

thanks. Thats what ive been doing. I only got my big reptiles by buying for cash. They are rare though.

Its a shame i cant release all my poison frogs into the wild. Im having to sell them all the time.

You'll soon find it much easier to have your exhibit animals of the same sex. They breed quickly and you can only sell for cash (in Franchise mode), so you spend a lot of time just selling them pointlessly for cash.

Make all your exhibits unisex then forget about them, and only replace when they occasionally die.

I'd love to send you some animals, but unless Frontier sets up a direct exchange we're out of luck
And Tim bo is right as you already know, but keep in mind you can't release those animals for CC.
And another tip: Get peacocks, wolves or warthogs. Those are cheap in CC, but they reproduce a LOT. peacocks especially, I am literally swimming in them. If you get 20 offspring and sell them for CC as soon as they're old enough (that sounds so mean... ) you don't even need to bump up the price a lot, for the sheer amount of animals you can be selling will sum up.
I'd switch to some kind of small monkey afterwards (Vari/Lemur) so you don't flood too much.

My zoo is quite small but I started with 12 exhibits which were all set up in breeding pairs of animals. BIG MISTAKE. Those spiders and frogs must spend all day just breeding. I had thought of doing what Tim says but without the CCs for the outdoor animals im stuck. Im making piles of cash, spending it on scenery etc and its rare you can buy animals. Ive managed to get the crocs and lizards though which are now breeding. My vets are now fully researched in all the reptiles so im a bit of a reptile king now.
Ive just invested in some limas (cos they are cute!) and my first ‘big ticket’ animals of some hyenas. Its such slow progress. Now my reptile world is done I want an African village and just look forlorn at the elephants an giraffes and their 2500cc price tags…. My 16cc is going to take a long time lol

Do you have Nile Monitors? You said you have sort of a lizard thing going on so I assume you do. Get a breeding pair, they can get up to 9 babies and if you pop out gold babies with all stats in green you can release them for 100CC each. They take 4 years to grow up but it's an investment worth your time and money because breeding them is very easy.

yeah, i got those. I actually stocked up on 1 male and 7 females but then got told off for overcrowding haha. So I got rid of some and now I have babies from my gharials, Saltys and Nile Monitors. Just need my komodos to get it on and Ill have a full on reptile farm.

Which Animal do you mean by limas? Never heard that before.

Also I would recommend getting a Group of Pronghorns with multiple females. They breed often and I think you get something like 19-30 CC for every released Pronghorn

Speaking of females - golden rated ones are sold in the market for 500-800 CCs, the males can be released into the wild for 40-70 CCs and they mature at about 2 years old.

Ive had a mixed ‘african plains’ enclosure in my challenge park so will do the same in the franchise. Seemed to work well.

Just wish you could drop some predators in there for an authentic experience

Thanks. That is literally taking the farming approach to a new level haha. I like it. I was under the group size but I think my enclosure was too small as It was only just the min size it requires. I like the farm idea though.

i mean the ring tailed things. They are cute as hell. Love how they jump around. I'll probably sell them all though or feed them to my crocs as they dont fit my park theme yet and they are taking up an enclosure i could use for some nile monitor farming
