Conservation Pack Pros and Cons

Now that we saw everything of the Dlc roadmap, and before the purchase, what are your thoughts about this new Dlc? For me:

Pros:
  • Przewalski's Horse
  • Axolotl
  • New foliage
  • New building pieces and classic zoo items
  • New statues
  • Siamang (even if it's too buff for me)

Cons:
  • Amur Leopard (face and color of the cub's coat)
  • Oryx (dark brown coat, hoping for a light brown variation)

Personally i've decided to buy the pack the moment i saw the Przewalski's Horse, since is one of my favourite animals, but not gonna lie, that Leopard reveal killed my hype.
I'm curious to see other's opinions. :D

Pros:
-animal selection
-new plants
-picnic bench, bin and bench
-new wall set
-grass roofs
-backstage items

Cons:
-new lampost (the one with the flower shape)
-animal statues
-animal signs (I haven't seen them, but I'm sure they won't match any of the many styles we have so far)
-if the only new enrichment item is the new climbing frame

I buy any DLC right away anyway, but this will never be my favourite pack.

Pros:
  • Gibbon, but not my species
  • Przewalski horse - didn't want or need it, but it looks beautiful
  • Leopard - not an awesome model, but better than the Jaguar
-Axolotl

Con:
- So far the building pieces do not knock me out of my socks, but I get they are wonderful for someone who builds realistic backstages.

I'm a lot like you, minus siamang which i dont care for much. Przewalski has always been one of my top mammals so i'm really relieved we get them and get a nice model, but amur leopard was the same and that fell very flat. I am so disappointed with that model, it can't be said enough.

This pack changed my views, honestly.

Pros

1. Animal selection
2. The gibbon itself - this animal alone hooked me. Until now, I didn't care for having a gibbon in the game, but now that I've seen it and that it'll use the new chorus behavior, I think these may be my favorite of the pack, even more than the axolotl I wanted
3. Backstage props - I didn't care for them, but they are very nice and can add a touch of detail to my builds, something I've been tryna do
4. The new plants

Cons

1. Amur leopard - no, not because of its supposedly terrible model, it's because if the choice itself. It's not bad, but in my opinion I would've chosen a different animal, such as the Tassie, Pére David's deer, or even the black-footed ferret
2. The themed signs/statues - they're nice on their own, but the problem is that we don't get enough statues to fill up a zoo, only for the pack. The reward statues do that, I guess, but they don't have mirrored variants, which is a genuine disappointment for me and probably the only time I've been genuinely disappointed in the game

Pros:
  • Siamangs and brachiation in general - honestly, I dont care if it is tied to enrichment item, getting gibbons is enough for me, I was honestly not sure we will ever get them.
  • Przewalski Horse, Scimitar-Horned Oryx and Axolotl - I just like all of these animal picks, although I wish the Oryx had a bit more vibrant coloration, but will judge after seeing it in game.
  • Scenery pieces are versatile and not themed.
  • Alot of new plants.
  • New statues - I am probably in minority here, but I do like the style. In real world I would consider them kind of childish, but in PZ it just fits the style.

Cons:
  • Leopard - now I dont have a problem with the model itself, it is just that I really did not need a leopard, as it is too similar to Jaguar anyways.
  • Seems like there are no new enrichment items - I was honestly at least hoping for a special tree in which leopards and jaguars could perform their iconic resting animation.

Hmm, I have no cons about this pack, except for the Oryx. But that's just my personal preference, cause... antelopes just do nothing for me.
I'm also open-minded about different styles for the statues and stuff.

Pros
1. Leopard: I have nothing against the model. I always wanted to have a Leopard species. And now werden have fulfilled the Panthera family
2. Gibbon: Brachiation finally came to the game.
3. Scenery
4. Przewalski Horse

Neutral:
Oryx: I do not mind it but this was not my favourite choice of a new antelope.

Cons:
Statues: In my opinion ot is true that at least one pack with one type of statues would be good. But to be honestly it was clear that werden again get a different type of statues 😀

Pros: Przewalski horse, scimitar-horned oryx, axolotl, leopard, grass roofs, tons of wildflowers!

Cons: Backstage props I don't really care for, gibbon (I'm happy for those who wanted one, but I rarely if ever use monkeys in my zoo. If I'll ever use a monkey, it'll be the spider monkey and howler monkey when they arrive in-game).

Pros:
Backstage props and grass roof panels! May come out as the best scenery addition yet (though I’ll reserve judgement till I’ve had a play around with it).
Siamang - helps to fill a niche that needs filling, great sounds that will make the whole zoo feel more alive, and brachiation makes them unique and valuable additions - highlight of the pack by a mile in terms of animals.
Oryx and horse are both valuable additions that were almost requisite for a conservation / endangered species pack. Both were on my wish-list and are very solid additions.
Axolotl is a solid choice - like most exhibit species will suffer from a much, much to big exhibit than it should have and probably also uncontrollable population growth related micromanagement, but that’s true of just about all exhibits so this is a good choice.

Cons:
Does nothing to fill the badly-lacking Oceanian roster
Does nothing to fill the somewhat lacking South American roster
Leopard does nothing for me - the model is fine (or at least, I’m unwilling to make a judgment till I see them animated in-game) but the Amur fills a niche already occupied by two other cats (Arabian or Persian would have been better IMO,… at least we didn’t get African, which would have been an even worse choice) and large cats are well represented already across the board. A better choice would have been Tassie Devil which would have been a more unique and interesting addition as well as adding to the Oceanian roster. On the other hand, lots of people wanted a leopard, so I’m happy for them that it was chosen.

Cons: Leopard, not because its ugly (its not) but because its boring

Pros: Everything else, also people will stop asking for leopards
Exactly what I feel.
The Leopard is just another cat with dots. In a General Asia Animal Pack I don't care about its inclusion, but in a 4+1 Pack it feels like a forgiven slot. A Tassi Devil OR! a Ground Bird with conservation status would be a much more better choice (because we need more Oceania Animals AND more Birds)
Thank you, Fini over and out.

So much cons about the Leopard here which is somehow a bit strange as it was number 1 animal with a bigger difference to the number 2 species. I know it is a personal view but looking at it in a General view its inclusion cannot be a con (not going into some peoples issues about its model but which seems totally fine to me). We wanted that frontier listens to us and now we got number 1 and number 2 along with a gibbon (even if its not the most popular gibbon species). Along with it the Axolotl comes to us as one of the (Perhaps the most) popular exhibit animals.

So another pro for the pack:
Frontier listens to its community in case of animals they chose.

Pros: good pack with one minus for me
Cons: wrong gibbon species, I completely lost interest in it and brachiation after reading dlc announcement. I guess i still have to wait for proper gibbon.

Classic example of loud minority vs silent majority.
