So, on xb1 and ps4, Elite is on sale? I've finally convinced the other half I neeeeeeed it on both consoles, and now they've downloaded a new game on the xb1 for themselves, I've convinced them I can, especially as....

The Deluxe edition? It's only 15 quid in the ps store! GET IN!

And to try n get me besty on it on xb1 (still...) its only 6.59 for the core!!

Expect noobs. Lots of noobs.

Good. I'm a firm believer that getting tons of noobs in is a good thing. Games like this thrive on large communities, so the more people we have playing, the better. Lets help em out as we can! ... ... except I'm on PC, so all I can do is give moral support via forums.

To an extent, using 3rd party/platform networks, there is. The squadrons can be used with a player faction by (from my experience) through xbox/windows-thingummy-jig clubs, or the faction I'm in have a joint ps/pc thing going on I haven't caught up with yet (xbox version, until now :)

The cross play is in there, in a meta kinda way

But yes! More noobs! And not for the pirating!

If you can't afford a gaming pc they are. Same game, runs smoothly, none of the faff with keyboard bindings, for the third of the price...what's not to like?

Hey lets not get ahead of ourselves here, Fdev has yet to turn on keyboard and mouse support for consoles even though both consoles have made it extremely easy at this point with Microsoft literally making it a switch on their side they just need to turn on.

Good job OP. I'm now Triple Elite on all platforms after doing the same! Wonder if anyone else is a crazy as I am to have done that? Bet I'm the first one who ever did it anyway.

Elite is surprisingly good on console. I at first thought I'd hate it, coming from PC with VR, but something about lounging in a recliner and using the hand held controllers makes it really fun to play there. At first it can be overwhelming setting up controls. Take advantage of context buttons. On Xbox, we have X, Y, A, B. I have them set up a certain way. By themselves, they do nothing, but if I hold a button down and press another button, it will do the command. For example, X will lead to my menus, A leads to targeting, Y leads to pips, and B leads to accessories.
