Console: how do I access the menu on the left side?

Hi, new to the game and already stuck in the tutorial. I can't access the menu on the left side, already tried every button on the controller...

Hello I had same problem. It's bad user interface. You just need click B button for back then you will access the side panel

I struggled with this too, but keep using back button (for PlayStation it's circle) and you can access each level of this menu. Arrows to move, back to traverse the menu hierarchy. Might be worth a feedback post actually for guidence in the tutorial of this bit.

I had this issue as well and it just isn't very clear what your meant to do, most people would assume pressing the back button would close the build panel rather than go back through the menu, it is far from intuitive controls that they boasted in the preview livestream. I've submitted a bug report about this issue, will wait for them to fix it before I resume playing.
