In the Galaxy map, it could be useful for all players, but particularly those who play in VR, to have the same console on-screen keys pop-up when searching for systems by name.
I think this should be controlled via a setting to enable/disable the feature entirely, and that it should be disabled by default so that no one's experience is affected who doesn't want the feature.
Once the on-screen keys pop up, players could then use the buttons they've mapped for Up, Down, Left, Right, and Select to navigate and input each character.
For non-VR players, it would mean that you won't necessarily need to have your keyboard in a handy position, and you won't need to take your hands off your hotas/dual flight sticks/gamepad to type in system names if you didn't want to.
For VR players, it would effectively amount to a small effort resulting in a big impact on their immersion, not to mention that having to take your hands of your hotas to find your keyboard can be a pain, and is even worse for those who don't touch type.
I don't know if the on-screen keys was something specifically written by developers from Frontier, or if it's an asset or feature that can be called up and customised from an Xbox specific library, but even if it had to be developed from scratch for PC, I think resource allocation and development time would be at or near the most minimal you could allocate for any single feature.
