OK, console play is dead. Thousands of console ED and Horizons players are asking to transfer their accounts, with credit balances and achievements they ground for years for, to a PC account. Not all of them, not by a long-shot. Most of these people are playing on console because they cannot afford a PC. But some can, and they want to play.
Is FDev going to try and force console players to purchase another game, based on the fact FDev lied to them for years and then unceremoniously announced the end of ALL console development?
I think that would be a tremendously stupid move. I also think FDev might not survive if it tries something like that.
There is a solution. Account transfers. FULL account transfers for any console player, any player with a console LICENSE, to transfer their account in full and become a PC player.
It saves a lot of accounts. Accounts that are making purchases.
It increases the PC player-base and no more concern about cross-platform play.
And it shows the entire player-base, both PC and console that FDev, as a company isn't total S***.
