Console ,the abandoned platform,

Who said I was sueing ? I was referring to criminal charges, and the laws in N.America are different then in the U.K.,one could argue that continuing to assert that it was coming to console, while knowing that it wasn't, adervertising that it was, even after this announcement, in the OFICAIAL trailer, in wich I got that screenshot from, is still up, is FRAUD,plain and simple

It was implicit in your op, hence why I took you literally. And you reinforced that later in your reply. So I am confused.

in order to play on p.c. we first ,have to pay for a game we already own.
No.

I play FIFA 22 on my PS5. If I decided I wanted to play it on my PC, I would have to buy a PC version of it. A platform specific license is just that, a platform specific license.

I get that you keep posting the screenshot time and time and time again from the launch trailer showing the logos for the PS4 and Xbox. You've also been told time and time again that one of the game's lead developers said publicly that as of October the game was still 100% being moved forward for consoles. You've also been told time and time again that since not a single console player paid a penny for the game - in combination with the game's EULA you were shown (as we all were) stating that you agree that server access is at the discretion of Frontier and they reserve the right to terminate it for any reason (which they have yet to do) there is absolutely zero legal resource.

It's a shame that Odyssey on consoles will never happen, but at some point you need to get over it.

Yea, I'm just throwing salt any and everywhere I can.😃
Oh right, you're just trolling at this point, fair enough then.

I'm confused because I clicked on this thread in Dangerous Discussion, and now I'm apparently in the Xbox forum.

Still, at least this is the thread, where console owners get to vent their frustration on the abandonment, that I kept being told would be a duplication of an existing thread, so there's that.

And I agree, Frontier fostered an expectation that Odyssey would appear on consoles, but there was almost certainly never a legal obligation for it to happen. That's why they have legal departments.

Having to buy a game for each platform seems to me quite normal.
You cant really expect to buy the game on PS and play it on XB.
Having access to the macOS client also gave access to the Windows client. I'm still using the same account paid for in the KickStarter which at one time meant I could swap at will between the two clients with the same account.

It was handy, I designed my HOLOME in Windows Horizon and it showed up in macOS vanilla. I don't know why or how Frontier were able to completely integrate those two clients but it can (could) be done.

Thants harsh.
Have you personally upset DB or has Elite has really got it in for you :D :D
The difference was that you knew the Electron version was missing some features of the BBC version at point of sale. Of course that was back in the day when what was released was all there was going to be.

ED was advertised as a game with a future, and launched as only for Windows. In fact it was funded in Kickstarter purely as a Windows game, with vague mentions of other platforms. Then came the stretch goal for OS X and then all the other platforms which Frontier judged to be viable, but have since bitten the dust.

After the demise of the macOS client, I toyed with the idea of buying a PlayStation, but judged that in the end, the Windows client would be the last standing, as it had been the first.
