Coaster Crazy Constant begging for donations

Since the second patch the game asks you for a donation every time you leave an area. I have two problems with this:

1) the frequency that this message pops up is unacceptable. When I click no, I don't expect to see it again for a long time, if ever.

2) You're not a ******* charity. If I want to support you I'll buy something using IAP. If you got your pricing strategy wrong and you're not making enough money to continue developing the game then that's your problem, not mine.

like i keep saying, they obviously intend to nickle and dime those of you who play IOS/smart phones to death in order to keep this cheesy wannabe game functioning.

may have had good intentions with the game, but certainly went the wrong direction with it.

RCT4 is what people want. coaster crazy is what they gave us. wrong answer.

Hi Clavius,

If this message is appearing everytime you leave a plot then it isn't working as intended. I'll pass this feedback on and hopefully it will get fixed at some point. So sorry for the inconvenience.

In regards to the donate button largely though, this is a pretty common feature in free-to-play games. From our perspective, we have provided players with a tremendous amount of content for free and we're very proud of the game we have developed. A lot of players wanted a way to support the ongoing development of the game and reward us for our efforts, so the donation button was a reaction to that feedback. I will inform the dev team about the regularity that it is appearing though.

I'd rather buy than donate

From my perspective, I'd much rather support the ongoing development of the game with a $2.99 IAP that unlocks all pieces, coasters, cars, and scenery in the sandbox and converts them elsewhere to in-game cash prices instead of gem prices. Or if you'd rather, a $2.99 IAP that lets me buy a jewelry store where I can buy gems with in-app cash at a reasonable exchange rate on an ongoing basis.

For comparison, Apple named The Room best iPad game of 2012. Current price: $1.99 with zero IAPs.

Runner up for 2012 was Eufloria HD which also was for a time the #1 paid app in the US and one of the top 10 games worldwide. On sale now for $2.99 with zero IAPs.

So I'd rather spend my $5 on buying both of those games than on buying not enough gems to even unlock only one version of the "Rotating Tower" track piece.
