Constantly Getting killed when entering low intensity zone by same player

I have never done something like this before but the thread title basically says it all. The same guy is say in the Eranin Low Intensity zone ganking anyone that jumps in. He's not in the starter ship and there is simply no way to even run without dieing.

Is there any way to unflag PvP, or make it so you can't be shot as soon as you jump in, as this guy kills me before i can even scan the area for threats.

All i want to do is practice combat but it seems people camping low intensity combat zones happens in each system.

Really getting turned off to ED if i'm just gonna be constantly ganked when trying to learn.

Thanks for the reply Asp Explorer, how would i go about banning his IP from my games exactly? I'm rather thick when it comes to things like that.

Try selecting the other faction in conflict. Premium Beta added lots of new players who rush to attack other PCs as soon as they see them.

Thats 1 of the problems, they've killed all oposition so no way for NPC's to support me. If i attack him (if i can even bring up my gun) I'm dead as soon as i shoot him.

Suggesting a simple workaround to a perceived problem that FD will then have to implement a P2P fix for? I don't believe that breaks anything Sam.

You could quit, and reload trying to get onto a different server.

It seems to me that it is necessary to restart the game completely in order to have a chance to connect to a different server.

I'm still getting to grips with warp and such atm as i've had very little time over the weekend to play.

As a PvP advocate I hear what you are saying. Under these circumstances it can be frustrating.. If you PM me your commander name and tell me what server and where you are going to be I'll watch your back for you

BTW.. first thing you want to do is get yourself a gimbled pulse laser

Indeed I meant "quit the game" reload and try again. You are, of course correct.

Then don't go there! Seriously. We ALL go to combat zones/distress calls to fight, why else go? So no one will take it easy on anyone, nor should they. I have no idea who is new or old or trying to learn. I assume if you are there, I can shoot you, and you me. If you are green- I don't shoot- red i shoot. Neutral... then I just don't trust you and any action towards me I may fire.

Try trading and getting some money and upgrade your ship/weapons. You'll get interdicted and some combat. Don't forget the scenarios to practice and set your controls. The multi-plater side is as hard as you make it. Nothing wrong with being a trader for a few days and amounting a fortune... Which you will lose. By crashes bugs or death and the eventual player wipe (every back to zero). It is a beta, and it will happen. Prepare for heartbreak.

Had the same thing happen to me the other night in Federation Distress. Fair is fair, you go into a battle zone, don't think you will not be shot at. Plenty of other places to have combat. I wound up just trading for a bit then tried again, he had gone, I got some kills... even another human player... then he came back and got me again! Once the whole universe opens up and we are not all crammed into the same bubble, things will open up. Once Comms are up that will/may help.
But for now- go to a combat area-- you will get combat.
