Constantly Getting killed when entering low intensity zone by same player

Suggesting a simple workaround to a perceived problem that FD will then have to implement a P2P fix for? I don't believe that breaks anything Sam.

It's just another hole to plug, and I'm sorry if you thought I am trying to break anything.

Uh oh!! It's the downvote police!

Watch out guys!!

I have never done something like this before but the thread title basically says it all. The same guy is say in the Eranin Low Intensity zone ganking anyone that jumps in. He's not in the starter ship and there is simply no way to even run without dieing.

Is there any way to unflag PvP, or make it so you can't be shot as soon as you jump in, as this guy kills me before i can even scan the area for threats.

All i want to do is practice combat but it seems people camping low intensity combat zones happens in each system.

Really getting turned off to ED if i'm just gonna be constantly ganked when trying to learn.

Getting killed by the same player, in the same way?
It's clearly not the game's fault, or the player's fault, you need to get good.

I know the Topic is quite old... (the *NEW* Naming and Shaming policy statement kinda gave a clue, and if that one didn't, the actual date of the post did. :) )

Personally, I would like to know these players in kinda a 'Wanted PC' type status.

Until player-assigned bounties come in (Especially if they come in as Bulletin Board missions, or even GalNet News reports), I'd like to get a list of these peeps to basically go after and *HUNT THEM* down on behalf of the griefed (I'm 'BATMAN" Style)...

Hey, anyone ever notice that the Viper does look a lot like the 'Tumbler/BatWing'?

Question - If you shoot a CMDR before they choose a side wouldn't that be committing a murder for shooting a "neutral player"? Or are all bets off in a warzone?

going to conflict zones solo is asking to get ganked. That happens in combat zones in real life too.

To be honest, I tried a few combat zone excursions and discovered that hunting down individual signals and fighting pirates I find offer better practice, less over head (your taking less damage and if you use ballistics less ammo). Plus the bounties you get seem to pay out more.

That would be my advice. Or wait for that dude, and catch him when he's heading home for fuel, bang bang, and repairs. (You'll need an interdictor)

Some dude ganked me in a war zone, and I have his number, when the time is right and he's forgotten who I am I will have my revenge.

Also for the moment there's two people in starter zones: the weak, and those who pray on the weak. Plus a rare slow flying veteran trolling those who pray on the weak. So get away from there, you'll find better trading oppurtunites and all the rest further afield.

(Note I do not advocate seal clubbing new players, but at the moment its simply a reality, so you gotta deal with those people)

I would shy zway from telling you to not play open play. Learning to deal with grief and crime is one of the more engaging part of online games with those who can stomach it.

If the CMDR is clean, you get a Fine for shooting a non-wanted character.
If the CMDR is wanted, or on the opposite faction, they are fair game.

I do not know how Beta 3 prices kills of 'Clean Commanders' who are of opposite faction. I.e. I don't know if you get the same bounty as a kill of an NPC.

There are no crimes in conflict zones.

I usually wait until people choose the wrong side before shooting them down, but if someone is making me feel uneasy, I'll take initiative even if they are still neutral.

Doesn't apply to conflict zone/distress signals.

You wouldn't happen to be CMDR Mackintosh(sp?) would you?

If you burn your hand on the oven, do you touch the same plate again 2 min later?

I learnd that lesson when i was 4.

"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.” - I learned that aged 30 something from Alfred.

Seriously though... Sometimes you need to keep trying something to understand it... even if it is painful!
