Constellations

Don't ask me why, but my first flight in Gamma 1.0 was to Earth. It took an hour or two, a fuel scoop and a few scuffles en-route, but it was well worth it.
I am no astronomer, but I have sailed and I do know enough constellations to find North. I parked over England, as low as I could go, and looked up. I could see The Great Bear, Cassiopeia and Polaris...amazing!
David Braben did say at the Premiere that 160,000 (all visible stars) had been mapped correctly. I took this with a pinch of salt as I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to position all those stars in 3D so they appear in the correct position and brightness to make up the constellations in the night sky.
I cannot believe you can actually see the constellations from Earth - Incredible! Well done Frontier!
The only tincy-wincy thing was, Polaris was to the South-West.... Perhaps Frontier have allowed for Procession as well!
Good job guys!

I recognized virtually every constellation in the sky, even the fainter ones. It truly is a remarkable accomplishment they should be proud of.
