Just a quick idea, what if instead of just choosing your coaster type, you also chose the construction company which each give a different positive or negative. For example, you want to build a new steel coaster, selecting steel coasters brings up a selection of construction companies that build steel construction. Perhaps one company can be a B&M equivalent, costing more but having the highest reliability, or another option that is cheaper construction, but costs more in long term in maintenance and reliability. Perhaps over time you grow a relationship with a company and get discounts or other long term benefits.
You get the idea what direction you could take this. It would add a neat layer into the management aspects of the game, allowing the player to decide what kind of product he/she wants build in the park. Do you want to save on costs (getting just a decent product), also being able to afford that extra theming or put that new restaurant in? Or would you rather get the best coaster construction with the inevitable boost in the public's approval it would provide but not be able to afford that shiny new flat ride?
