Containment Missiles - the "GROM" .

I have a particular problem with this powerplay weapon. I recently had acquired this Grom-bomb , and have been heavily practicing with it , trying to make it work. Ok , so as far as it seems , it does not seem effective at all , in terms of speed needed / and accuracy with containing someone. It fires the same rate as the regular dumbfire missile. Over 60 percent of pilots out there choose not to fight , even though they are in open play , have combat fitted ships . They simply just leave. This is a problem.
The regular dumbfire fsd interrupt missile holds your opponent for just eleven seconds. This is a joke. A point defense also stops this. The modification applied to the regular version manages to hold them for a whopping 17 seconds. You guys at frontier do not give us enough time needed to apply any type of pressure required during such time to knock out the drives or better yet the hull to accomplish anything with this limited time frame. It is difficult enough as it is , to strike the opponent , with a missile that moves at that rate of speed that does not have any trajectory guidance. For a powerplay weapon I feel it should deem something of important value , something more than just what mats can get you , so why is it that it is such a lame weapon ? It seems as if once again the pve crowd is catered to , and the weapons that us pvp people use are not effecient enough to get the job done. I request that the "Grom Bomb" be modified to hold our opponents in for a minimum of 30 seconds , or increase their firing speed, to match that of a focused Pa speed. This would get some balance done to the special "powerplay" weapon and make it seem worthwhile investing into and make gameplay more fun than what it is now with it. Elite dangerous needs more pvp focused fun and interactiveness and rewarding times with more effective weapons against those that are afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. Thankyou .

The 'Grom Bomb' is fine as it is. There are some things to remember about the g-bomb. First, it is actually as fast a a dumb fire I believe. Seekers are 50 m/s slower and packhounds 50 m/s slower again (notwithstanding their even slower release speed). The second thing to remember, is the g-bomb is only really affective at close range. The further away you are, the more difficult it is to land. If the opponent is flying invasively, this adds to the difficulty - and lets not forget the smaller the ship you're trying to hit, makes it harder too. Third, using this specialist weapon lowers your constant DPS output by taking up a medium slot. They are good when you're in a wing or for me, a must for piracy. Being a game changing weapon if they land, I don't think they are OP at all. Just learn to use them up close. Also, they require skill. So, as the saying goes, the more you use them, the better you should get...

Don’t forget you can engineer it so you get a couple of effects stacked on it which you can’t do on a regular missile

So you want a rocket propelled device such as dumbfires are as well as the heater seekers are, to go as fast or in the case may be, faster than any and all ship's, which can go faster than the speed of light several times. OK FDEV, make it a reality, physics don't mean a single solitary thing in this game anyway; Right?
