continuing support on PZ (and other frontier games)?

Because of this post I am wondering how the support is going to be for planet zoo and the other (new) games.... f1 manager is just 2 months old and already being dropped (and people paid 55 euro's for a game that isn't being supported anymore, with, according to the reviews, lots of bugs in it??)

Why is this even happening/allowed? :( I thought about buying the new game (stranded), but now I am not so sure anymore.

There are 4 F1 manager games, as it was announced, so 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. They have to, at some point, stop development and move onto the next. I say that as an observer because I not previa to the inner workings of Frontier. But this has nothing to do with Planet Zoo since they are talking about F1. They are completely different teams. Nobody can tell when development ends on PZ until we see no more DLC's. Everything else is pure speculation.

Sounds to me like F1 just didn't have enough success for a lengthy run. I don't think that's the case with Planet Zoo. This year finishes out the minimum amount of new content I would have wanted, but I stress that's the minimum. Hoping for 4 more packs next year as well and maybe...we'll see at that point.

Pretty sure Football Manager games and similar does it like that too. A new version of it every year, so it might just be how that type of games work
That's a good point. I don't play anything much beyond simulation games that tend to have a lengthier lifetime, but it just seems to me that many Sport oriented games have a quicker turnaround on their next versions. Like you said, one every year or something. I couldn't imagine myself supporting a game that was redone and rereleased yearly, with the previous year's then being out of date, but that's just my own opinion and, ha, doesn't really add anything to this.

Yeah I mean, the season in Formala 1 is comming to the end, the champion is already known so...Not really sure why would they develop this year game any further. Might throw the manpower to the next year's season game and make it better with all the feedback they had on the fist game. Sport games are usually like that. I dont think this indicates anything for PZ specificaly.

Comments are kinda rough.

Funny to see every latest frontier release being controversial, but no Planet Zoo.
Literally nothing questionable is happening here. No wonder they are preparing spring DLC.
