Contract Rank in Passenger Missions

What is it on about the Contract rank needs to be Master and my current rank is Expert?

My ranks are:

Combat - Expert
Trade - Elite
Exploration - Ranger
CQC - Semi Pro

I guess it's a typo?

All missions have a 'rank' that is a guide to the difficulty you might face by accepting the mission.

You can take any rank of mission, whether you are at that rank or not, it will simply be easier or more difficult to complete, but the game won't stop you taking it.

As I said, all missions, not just passenger missions, have a rank.

Yes, because you are accepting a contract (mission) to do something, and this is the difficulty level of that contract. :)

I'm not sure if they changed the wording, but in any case, some missions will have a trade or exploration rank as the difficulty indicator, and these you should translate to the appropriate combat rank to determine the level of NPC opposition you might expect. For example, a Tycoon rated delivery mission will likely see you interdicted by a Deadly or Dangerous NPC, regardless of your own combat rank.
