Control options

I bought the Thrustmaster Tflight hotas a few weeks back (really like it and want to use full time), I have been playing another space game with KB/M for over 2 years, not used a joystick in many years so am trying to relearn in single missions.

I go into options, set up the key bindings and off I go, its all good.

Want to go multi player for a bit and feel safer with KB/M for now, go to options to change and I am now showing "custom", so my previous KB/M settings are wiped and I need to reset (not too many changes but still a pain, but not as much as rebinding the Tflight again).

So I select KB/M then change a few things, go play multi for a bit, check options and now this set up is saved as custom.

It seems any change to a default option saves as "custom" and wipes the previous, is this correct?

Hope I am just missing something simple but if not I hope they implement a separate custom option for each.

Any and all advice is most welcome, thanks.

As soon as you modify any options in the predefined control schemes these change to custom controls.

As soon as you make a change to the default setup, it changes the name to custom - but you shouldn't lose any previous changes you have made, unless you are trying to modify the default each time? Make your changes, then when you want to make further changes, make sure you are making them to the now-existing 'Custom' setup and all will be fine.

Also, strongly recommend documenting all of your settings as well as backing up the bindings file. Updates have a habit of wiping customised settings, unfortunately as I have found to my cost!

Thanks Aleksej & Flossy.

Still having a few weird issues, if I start hotas then bind KB/M the mouse seems like FA is on half power, quite jumpy, if I start KB/M then bind hotas other things seem a bit off.

Sorted the throttle issue I was having (missed a bind/wrong binding) so am sure its me just needing to spend a bit more time refining them.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, with a bit more time I am sure I will get them both as I want them to be, cheers
