Control settings randomly changing

Hi, sorry if this had been discussed before. I am using a Thrustmaster hotas and have tried programming controls in both the custom and thrustmaster options for the game. 98% off the time this works fine. Then at random something will change like I lose the setting for roll or turn left out I will lose the setting for my landing gear or jump drive.
What is happening? It's a bit devastating at times e.g. in combat to suddenly not be able to roll left or find your controls suddenly inverted.

Not sure if this will help...

I was having some weirdness with my Saitek HOTAS and someone suggested a powered USB hub.
Did the trick for me...maybe worth a shot?

Oh and just remembered another thing...make sure you don't have too many .bind files living in the default folder.

I had issues with my config being "remembered"...deleted the surplus files (I had about 4)...and everything worked perfectly after that.
