Controller has no input in horizons but does in odyssey.

Hello there,

I'll try to summarize as quick as possible, recently I tried out a HOTAS, didnt like it, returned it, after coming back to my setup with a xbox controller that worked, before I noticed that in horizons my inputs didnt work anymore as in no input would be detected (controls are set to my controller binds) but in odysey they are. Controller is pretty much new, Both binds files are intact, and the ID for for my device in both binds files are the same, all the software for the HOTAS has been removed, rebooted my PC multiple times. Problem only seems to be with elite when not in odyssey. The only thing I seem to be missing is a error log file in the binds folder that isnt there.

Thanks.

There was a bug from an update last year that Horizons defaulted to keyboard/ mouse control inputs. Make sure your controller is plugged in and start Horizons and go to the controller section and then make sure your custom binds are selected. If it shows keyboard / mouse then select your custom setting.

even though you have removed the hotas (physically) and the drivers uninstalled. your PC will remember the link. usb devices all use the same driver, confused when repeatedly removed. this is what's happened. i suspect. you tried the hotas only with horizons and that's why the GP still works with Ody
in device manager click on view and then show hidden devices. all hidden devices will show as grey. delete the device and reboot.
insert usb GP, start EDH. if your using wireless, make sure its switched on before starting EDH.
