Controller Issues

Afternoon all,

So just bought ED on my PC.

I have a controller (not an official Xbox controller but Steam recognises it as a Xbox controller).

Just on the tutorial, pitch/yaw works absolutely fine, but the next step is to engage thrusters (right button), and it doesn't work.
If I go to controls, it recognises my buttons (as I can change them) but as soon as I go back outside, the buttons (thrust) don't seem to work?

Am I being stupid? :)

not sure what controller you have but personally I have thrust forward backward axis mapped to my x box triggers right accel left brake just like a car

that's the trouble with some non standard controlers not being supported like the common run of the mill ones
have you tried a different in game control preset like custom or empty
