Controlling Faction With Low Influence (not 0)

Hi!

We have created a user group faction and we are expanding it.

We have arrived a system where the controlling station is owned by a faction with low influence, less than the others factions, and less that ours influence too. We want to take over the controlling station.

My question is, ¿we need to lower our influence to match the controlling faction influence and make a war? ¿we can´t just keep raising our influence to cause a war with the controlling faction?

Lowering our influence just to make a war seems like a waste of our previous attempts to raise our influence.

if you are only in it for system control, you can push your influence >60℅ to trigger a war for system control.

mind, that you only will win the controlling station in that way, and not any other assets.
