What are people using for controls that are using A1.1

I've tried all the stick configs but I cant get my Saitek ST290 Pro to do squat and trying to use keyboard/mouse aiming is uncomfortable at best.

I use a warthog and spoof it to one controller.

Have you tried picking any joystick setup and then rebinding each action to your joystick? This will give you a custom setup, and it may work.

Quite a common mistake is binding yaw to left right on the stick because Elite is a roll/pitch kind of game.

cannot get any response from stick..works fine in its test control panel otherwise would remap using custom.

Custom set up on a Cyborg joystick. Shame I can't get the hat to work, but generally cool. Assigned yaw to a couple of buttons on it and roll on the stick itself.

I cant get anything to respond in game, not even thrust...got an old cyborg hiding somewhere, Ill give that a try.

Hmm, it should work...

I am using both Seitek ST290 Pro and Thrustmaster and they both work. Now I wish I could have Both doing different controls

I know it's a long shot, but have you tried restarting the machine with the stick plugged in and then trying the game again? It can get a bit stroppy if you add a controller after it's started.

I know nothing about this joystick, but Lestat (see above quote) may be able to help.

I'm trying to use a DS4, but mapping the controls, I'm not sure what to do for the best.

So far Ive got...

roll up and down right left analog, along with yaw up, down.

and roll left right, and yaw left right on right stick.

Activate weapons left stick, boost right stick.

x - accelerate
square - brake

Shoot R2

dpad left, lights
dpad up, slient running

and so on basically.

I like it for precision targetting, especially long range, i roll with pedals when they work.
