Newcomer / Intro Controls Issue - Cannot Play

Newbie problem with controls here. I use Saitek X52Pro to play. Flying and shooting was all good in demo version so I went ahead and spent $70. Surprise surprise, cannot play as anything that requires use of keyboard and Select specifically is no joy. The keyboard does not work for me when Saitek 52 is selected in Options/Controls. I am thinking there must be something that I missed but cannot seem to find anything on same issue.

I use an x52 (non-Pro). I've never had any trouble using keyboard controls in conjunction with the x52. Have you looked through the bindings to ensure that the keyboard controls you're trying to use are bound in the way that you expect them to be?

If that's not the problem, could you describe the problem you're having in a little more detail? Might make it easier for someone here to give advice.

I can get to Contacts with POV2 moving only left/right. I can select Contacts with pressing Joy [4]. Then I see Lock Target/Request Docking/Back sub menus. I can select Lock Target with Joy [4]. I cannot select other menus as I cannot move down or up in the menus. Pressing spacebar on the keyboard does not work. Pressing enter closes the left side panel and opens local chat.
