Controls - key bindings

Hello to all, Commanders!
My problem is also strange. I started to play Elite after a long period of time. I have noticed that something happened to my custom bindings. First, I thought that the problem was on y side and I rebuild the scheme. But now, more often, I have lose those bindings. I have noticed that if I delete the custom bindings fie and replace it with the back-up, everything works fine. But, for example, if I need to set up different commands, those are not saved. Or are saved but if I try something new, old settings are lost.
For example: i have set the SRV throttle, since it was lost. It works until I need to set the turret movement. Turret movement works, but if I want to move the SRV, I have to set up again the throttle command. Then, again, the turret movement. And so on.
Frustraiting, sine I am not able to find a logical explanation....
My set up: dual Thrustmaster Joysticks, wireless Logitech mouse G602 and wired keyboard Logitech G413.

Trust me, I have read it before posting. :) I even applied what you told us.
But doesn't solved my problem completely. In the session that follows the changes, few keybindigs doesn't appear in the list, even if I am sure that I put them there. For example, forward and backward thrust for SRV.
I have made the changes again, and it seems to work. I will see tonight if they remained there.
Besides the issue with setting some controls and other disappeared, as I mentioned in the first post. Behaviour is erratic, I noticed.

@Uruquel CHECK your binding errors log what does that say? (as I am thinking volts drop which may translate as device not detected)( if guide followed to the letter IE backups not kept in the frontier folders)

note to self store cam is for the in game store it figures i only just suss that myself as I don't visit it often
still y they don't just use peeps existing outside cam controls is beyond me...……...

Seems that renaming some line, as you thought us, solved the issue. It appears from time to time, but lately I didn't had any problem.
Logs said something that Thrustmaster Wardogh is not found, even If I do not have such joystick.

So frustrating! Logged on to play this afternoon and my bindings are all gone for the second time this week. Played twice this week, so binding have to by redone each time I play the game. I'm not computer literate so I cannot follow any solutions. What's going on !

I wrote the bindings guide in a monkey see monkey do fashion follow every step to the letter is all I can suggest at this point

but in saying that "I'm not computer literate so I cannot follow any solutions" even my guide may seem like a mystery sorry if that's the case but that's as basic as it gets computer skills wise
other than that its probably a power issue as discussed above

ya it takes a best guess if your using something else that's really not important what is however is the fact that at that point in time
windows did not see the device which may have been for only a second
and why exactly that is warrants further investigation...…... to which sufficient power is the next logical question well apart from making sure its plugged in proper

My key bindings have all gone and it takes forever to fix those. I am going to just stop playing this game until they are done with this alpha and odyssey stuff. Maybe i will play in a few months when they stop changing things. Bindings are just so time consuming to set up.

lost your binds? want hasstle free backed up binds look no further

keybindings can reset if you visit the control section without one of your usual devices used to play the game ie hotas , xbox pad etc not plugged in or at that present moment is undetected by windows as it thinks your just using keyboard and mouse it simply rewrites your binds for you...

Once you get your controls mapped as you like, back them up.
I do agree that having your binds go poof should not be so easy or random as it is. But, the work around is not a difficult one.
