I keep my throttle set up so it works for both forward and reverse, and usually fly with FA on. However, I'm using FA-off more and more. I have an axis for each lateral thrust, including front and back, and these are what I use in FA-off.
I find that, whenever I undock or come in/out of FSD, I end up veering forward or reverse undesirably because my throttle isn't in the deadzone in the middle. I do have a fairly generous DZ set, but I'd rather I could have the throttle input entirely ignored when in FA-Off flight, and have it function normally in FSD.
It would be lovely if we could set an option in controls (or bind a toggle) to disable the throttle axis when FA is shut off, leaving the lateral thrust controls the only way to accelerate in this condition.
