Controls Questions

Hidy ho all,

Question for you all. I was wondering if it was possible to set up the mouse as a control for your ship. I wanted to set the mouse up and down as the pitch, and the left and right as the yaw. But I didn't see that in the controls setting.

Am I missing it? Or is that not possible?

Hi,

Not in front of my PC at the moment, but it's certainly there.

Once you've found it you'll need to set it by carrying out the mouse action, it'll be the second column, the one on the right as the left one is for the key bind.

Someone else might give you the correct wording to look for in the Controls window or even a screenshot.

Regards

You'll need to have keys assigned for left and right roll as the yaw sensitivity is low on all the ships, it's fine for docking and SC target alignment but you need to roll and then pitch onto the target during combat here the yaw is for fine target tracking once you've got the target in the field of view.
I use a gaming mouse with additional two keys mapped to up and down thrusters (helps with pitch turns) and two keyboard keys mapped to left and right thrusters, it gets a bit complicated but you do need attitude and thrust controls to get the best out of the ships.
