Convince me to NOT buy it.

Greetings!

I've been lurking, reading, watching, thinking about this game. I don't often spend money on myself, but recently, I have noticed this little devil on my shoulder (is that a bobble-head devil?). I've very nearly managed to completely justify it. This is why I need you, the community, to convince me to NOT buy it.

C'mon.

Only reason I can think of (certainly in my case) is the very real possibility of divorce.
I therefore decided to learn how to make my own sandwiches and took the plunge anyway.. it's always good to learn new skills right? :)

I am an expert sandwich maker. Also pancakes. Pancake sandwiches may be a thing.

Pancake sandwiches are definitely a thing. Count on the USA to lead the way!

Oh yes, and to the OP... you should buy this game. If you've seen the main web page, and a few YouTube user videos then that's what you'll get, and it's amazingly stable for a Beta. Yes, some bugs and missing features but it will only get better. Just whip out that credit card and do it. And then head down to your local grocery store and score some of those delicious IHOP pancake breakfast sandwiches.

Back to the OP.

I am pretty sure you will lose sleep over the purchase. I know I do, but, it is fun flying them space ships around. :D

Slim

See, now, the thing is, when you try to convince someone to NOT do something, you don't throw in a "but it sure is fun" statement! up-repped for not helping.

I'm in the UK its nearly 5 in the morning and I'm still up. this game will seriously damage your sleep patterns.

Catch 22....
I'd advise you to maybe hold off until beta 2 as for the last few weeks there hasn't been too much content to play with however...
With 10 days of events starting tomorrow there is a possibility of 'once in a lifetime' giveaways such as special event paint jobs/decals and what not that if you don't have the game now you will have no chance of getting.
Obviously the above is speculation but today is certainly the best time in a long time to get into the game...
That put you off enough?

People already getting addicted, and its still not yet complete. Indeed, there could very well be a lot more addictive components being concocted by Frontier right now, brewing up for more addictive gameplay.

Living with that nagging feeling of incomplete affairs, and walking on the edge of what is attainable, yet slightly elusive, builds character and fortitude, in such a saintly way you will feel elevated when getting used to the burdens! Far be it for us to create a lighter, softer, luminous being, almost floating across the gentle waters of sheer relief! Why should we want that, when you can be like the rock of the ages. Hardened, impenetrable, and inaccessible! :D

Unfortunately the only way to stop you from purchasing this game is to have your memory wiped so you do not remember it exists, we do not have that technology though.

Reasons not to buy the game:
1. It can be expensive, if you convince yourself you'll need a new pc , a
Joystick (and you might as well buy a fancy one)....
2.It can get to be addictive
3. As others have said some may not appreciate the importance of the game.
4. Its only in beta so not finished yet. You may get annoyed at having to start over on release.

I think that's it.

It is beta.
It is incomplete and imperfect
There will be wipes

But it is already a mesmerising, addictive and immersive experience like nothing else.

Buy now and get a free eagle too.
