I would love to have a co-pilot who I could hand over control of the ship to, whilst I retire to my cabin for some R&R.
I would give instructions to head for a system say 120 ly away, stopping to fuel scoop at stars along the way, and only disturbing me if we got interdicted.
I would love to be able to hand over control, get up out of the pilots seat, walk around the ship, check on the frame shift drive and then to my cabin.
Maybe I could have some video screens in my cabin that gave the effect of having a large cabin window and I could watch the solar systems roll by while I basked in the glow from my virtual fireplace?
I hope that won't be too difficult to achieve?
