The one alien race that humanity knows for a fact that is real is the thargoid , of course in the original elite it does indeed talk of avian and other aliens but that was in the manual and I dont think was ever mentioned in game (if my memory serves me right)

know if you read the Copper discription in game it says that other races use it... are they talking of low tech natives of planets? I know thats a thing in the elite universe. or somthing else.

It would be nice if Frontiere gives us a lore guide , as I am confused if elite dangerous is a reboot or sequel or both?

ED is a sequel set slightly further into the future from the other games, it's not a reboot.
We're expecting aliens to feature at some point but these could form part of an expansion pack, nobody knows right now.
As for lore, well we all wish Frontier got their act together on that front but i suspect its down the priority list.

I hope they do somthing , the books help but sometimes make things worst... like the galnet and one of the books talk of the thargoid as a ''legend"" why? how could they be a legend if we had a massive war with them.

I think it is based on the assessment that any intelligent life will need copper to build their civilization to the point to be spaceworthy. Copper is not only the basic needed for primitive weapons during the copper age, but copper is essential during Renaissance all the way to the Information age. The steps might be similar to all intelligent life.

The original Elite was indeed full of alien races, the procedural generator for races threw up things from human colonists to small, blue, furry insectoids. When Frontier was released, the decision had been made to switch to a representation of our own galaxy and any mention of aliens was removed. So the reboot was done long before ED.

Beyond the thargoid there are no space faring life forms out there (that humans know of) the rest is primitive life but the issue is frontiere have not given us a list of races

Sorry , I said races I ment species , it all boils down to the same in the end the two terms mean non humans or rather organsim of sertan level of intelegence that formed outside of earth
