Hi folks,

is there something like a copy-past functionality in the GUI?
I have a hard time to type those long lettered names of star system.

And is there a place (tab) wher I can save waypoints?

No and No

Though you can type partial names into the nav map and it will cycle through systems and station names starting with those letters.

No and no.

Or at least "not yet".

In terms of long-range navigation, I think they're critical features and I sincerely hope the developers are working on introducing them.

If you getting the system name from outside the game it can be pasted into the galaxy map ctrl-v.
I use this when using Thrudds for example.
You probably know that already though

Would be good if there was a way in-game to save your favourite stations.

As frustrating as it may sound, pen & paper are your friend

Also, if you do have one, making use of an old netbook off to the side of your main system can be a nice way of keeping logs.

I know it's not exactly what you want, these are just work arounds, but I do agree that we need some better copy+paste functionality.

If you copy a name from a program outside ED you can paste it into the nav system.

...or u can remember a simple planet name in the system and search that as a ref.
