Coriolis Angle of Gravity

Was was just admiring the 4k image from Newsletter #39.

I was looking at the windows on the edge o the station, some are facing up, some of facing outwards that are very close to each other. It got me to thinking that "effective" direction of gravity (I know its not gravity per se) will be from the center point of rotation outwards.

So, if you lived on these edges of the cobe, wouldn't gravity appear to at nearly 45 degrees, so everyone would need to lean over 45 degrees to compentate?

Just curious for when we get FPS mode, will everyone be on the slant?

So, really, the outer edge of the station should be more like the inner dock, with several surfaces.

The stations rotate to simulate gravity, and all the interiors Ive seen so far are essentially cylindrical with the axis of rotation running down the center.

I dont see the problem...

I was talking about the outside edges of the stations - specirfically the coriolis station - which is very square, you can see in the image two "buildings" with "windows" that are 90 degrees offset, but basically a 100 meters apart.

I thought of this as well, for the first time, looking at the 4k image. I agree, people living near the "corners" will have some odd gravity. Maybe floors are slanted 45 degrees towards the centre there. ;)

I don't think the outside walls match up with the floors. In the places were you can see how the floors are structured, like the skyscrapers and the ring-structures around the entrances, the gravity should be in the right direction. In the station hull itself, I think the floors are ordered like the layers of an onion.

Gotcha.

One shoe taller than the other?

I noticed some of the windows on the inside of the station point in the wrong directions (on the back wall etc). If you were inside the room you would be pushed against the glass :D

I think people would be doing the moonwalker lean in some parts of the station.
