Coriolis stations - external highlight colours

Tooling around the bubble I've seen red and blue external highlight colours on coriolis stations, today though a frequent haunt of mine Hiroyuki Vision in Omagatae has changed colour from all red highlights to half red and & half blue. The controlling faction hasn't changed and it's been through a few different states recently but up till now it has always just had red highlights...

So does anyone know if the red/blue highlights mean anything or is it just random?

I've noticed a few that have also changed. not really sure of the reason but I suspect a META-Game reason as opposed to an in-game one. I think Fdev is just slowly but surely adding new station effects with each patch and some randomly get the new look.
