Hardware & Technical Corrupt bios boot screen any ideas?

Suddenly getting a corrupt bios boot screen. Plus a boarder has appeared . A grid of dots. running windows 10 . nevr seen this before..

Any idea?

You can clear your CMOS by removing the round silver battery or some mother boards have a button to do the same thing, power down pc unplug the power and take the battery out, wait a few mins put the battery back in and power on the pc, that should clear your CMOS and set bios to default settings, this is what you should do before updating any bios.

Also be aware that you will have to go back into your bios and reconfigure your bios, so if you had an overclock or different memory settings it will have to be all redone.

I mean the startup sequence that occurs when you switch on PC. I also get a boarder around the main desktop. I hol on pulling out any batteries before I figure why this happened. I can still use pc for with limited screen resolution.

Can you take a photo of it with your phone and upload? Tough to see what you mean.

Ah for the days you took a picture with a camera and spoke on a phone.

There is a 'frame around. the desktop. Corrupt text on the boot screen. Cant stick the HDMI in mother board not that kind of board.

Does your graphics card have an alternative output you could try?

Can you beg/borrow/steal a different monitor?

Likewise for a graphics card?

I think it's better if you can take pictures with the smartphone - start to suspect it's not that motherboard bios corrupt, what we thought at first.. check if graphic card is not moved around in the socket..

A photo would be most helpful.
it would also be helpful to know the motherboard make and model so it can be determined if you have dual bios or not. sounds like not, unless both bios are corrupted.
in the meantime, see if you can make out the words indicating what to press to load optimal settings and try that. It is usually a text line that you select by moving the cursor onto it and then choose by pressing enter.
If you did not press del or F2 upon booting, then you most likely are seeing this because the BIOS has lost settings that are allowing the pc to boot. which is most likely drive related, as in type of drive, order of drives, which drive is boot drive.
If you unintentionally caused the pc to enter BIOS, then simply try a reboot.

And with the dotted lines you describe it does sound more like a video problem and this is not actually the bios. BIOS has solid lines. Display notices and warnings are usually dotted lines and garbled text is also indicative of a display problem.
Otherwise, if you cannot provide a photo, at least try and provide some basic info, such as previously stated. If possible also provide additional info such as how many drives are in the system.
There are too many things to list here that could have caused this to happen, so for starters, lets hope it was that you accidentally entered BIOS.
I am a computer tech, so if you can be helped remotely like this, I'm sure we can help you as long as you can provide some basic info.
