Corvette and Cutter ranks. Beta finished. Release ranks

With the end of the beta which encompasses these ships, in my opinion it would only seem fair that should release the rank requirements. After all, ships beta is finished.

I know for a fact that despite having Horizons beta access I'll be staying in the regular client trying to max out my rank to ensure that I'm high enough before FD make changes to the mission system (1.5.3 patch notes, on phone so can't link) which, I fear will make the grind much longer.

I'd be much more inclined to assist with beta testing if I knew what I had to aim for. On achievement of my required rank, Horizons here I come.

Not sure how others feel about the rank being kept secret, but for me, when viewed with the 2.0 (mission changes) it seems particularly mean that players who want to big ships on launch have no idea if they're wasting time grinding beyond the required rank.

I would only be annoyed if it were a secret after 1.5 goes live, until then i don't feel like we have any particular right to know.

I've decided. Post Captain and Marquis. Admiral and King will be required for executive control later on. Enjoy.

My suspicion is that it will follow the current pattern and be available at rank 9. I think the ranks beyond that should be reserved for future developments. Regardless of what we've been told I suspect there remains the possibility of bigger and badder ships in this game's future.

They have said they are going to add more ranks in the future as well. They have also stated that it is going to require "one of the highest" ranks so I expect Duke and Rear Admiral.

Anyway not that bad, it is reasonable that beta/first players have an advantage on getting new ships!

I started grinding my Federation rank for the Corvette and got to Post-Commander, then decided I preferred the Cutter! So (many hours of grinding later), I am now a Duke in the Empire. PLEASE let that be enough!!!

Where did you grind for Fed and Empire Please?
