Horizons Corvette Engineer Weps Boost Recomends?

Ok, I know I'm posting this at midnight, but while its on my mind, I have a Corvette

Everything is A class, except Thrusters, which are D.

Weapons:

Class 4 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with Thermal Shock
Class 4 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with nothing
Class 3 G Beam - short range blaster
Class 2 G Beam - light weight mount
Class 2 G Beam - light weight mount
Class 1 G Multicannon - high capacity magazine level 4 - with Corrosive Shell
Class 1 G Multicannon - overcharged level 4 - with nothing

I was going to get two thermal shocks on the multis and two corrosive shell, but after the nerf of Thermal in 2.2, I am wondering what is a good combo (or the best) as far as engineer bonus mods??

Any suggestions for my ultimate setup to aim for?

4A mc fixed HICAP mag thermal shock
4A mc gimbal HICAP mag corrosive
3C beam laser thermal conduit
2F mc turret, HICAP mag incendiary, times 2
1G mc turret HICAP mag incendiary
1G mc turret HICAP mag corrosive

All are level 5 except for the laser which is level 2.

The shields are level 5 HD a-class, I also run 3 point defense and 5 shield boosters (2 HD, 2 Thermal, 1 Resistance Augmented, all level 5 except for the thermal at level 3, the highest available).

In solo, there is nothing that can even come close. In a RES/CZ of any type, I go in with two 7A SCB's and take on all ships, even wings of three, with Anaconda and FAS, or similar combos and stay till I run out of ammo. No damage, millions CR in bounties, combat bonds and mission rewards.

I don't take sub-mill jobs anymore unless I can stack.

I have also flown this set-up in Beta and noticed no difference in effectiveness, this was after they announced that they were changing the heat meta. However, tonight my monitor died, after many years of use (RIP Samsung Syncmaster) so I haven't been in Beta for a few days. New monitor ETA, 2 days, 27" BENQ gaming monitor (well, the old one needed replacing[smile]). Will be going back to Beta, catch up on changes then.

I dunno.
I seem to find myself reverting back to all-multi after each time I experiment with any other loadout.

Class 4 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with Incendiary Ammo

Class 3 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with Incendiary Ammo
Class 2 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with Thermal Shock

Class 1 G Multicannon - overcharged level 5 - with nothing

They eat through Elite Anacondas in 40s (NPC's), so are fairly efficient, with 1 pip to engines, 2.5 to shields and 2.5 to weapons.

Sorry about the quality of this; Old clip, not quite 40s kill, but you get the jist:

Just run your vette like a real man and put a dual size 4 PA on it.

but best to wait with upgrading those till the new weapon mods are here..

I was aiming for something like this setup, but your video only shows how to take down a ships shields by ramming it (you have amazing shields). The guns seem to take forever to do the damage, even with the laser, but I'm still looking at something like this.

As long as the thing has a 1ms delay time, you will be fine, 4ms is ok I guess, 8ms is slow - like an old LCD. Best of luck with it.

Wow, that is amazing. As an all-time supporter of multis over any other weapon, this would seem the ultimate setup. It is both happy for power and also very good on damage. But once the ammo runs out you are a sitting duck. At least with the laser config I would have something in case I run dry to finish an attacker.

What is a PA, a Pylon, a Pulse erm? Yes I would be interested in the new weapons mods. If history is the marker, ED will release some overpowered super weapon, which all the forums go berzerk over, and take the heat off (?) of the Thermal Shock nerf. And then the forum will say "its too powerful for its own good, we demand equality" and it will get nerfed as soon as 3.0 arrives. So I guess its all relative really.
