Ship Builds & Load Outs Corvette PVE builds

I am sure there are a few topics with this already and I've googled a fair amount of them.

The problem I am having is the ship is cookie cutter building. 2 H PAs 5 Pulse and you wreck everything. But i'd like to mix it up a bit.

My current build is Beams with F Cannons, I have not tried it out yet but I have tried many of the kinetic builds and found them lacking in DPS. I even tried a full pulse build for giggles and it was horrible.

The only thing other than this to make it fun that I can think of would be to add 1 L G Beam at the nose then MC the rest with 2 L cannons but even then I don't see them beating the 2 PA-5Pulse setup in dps. Is it a lost cause until 2.1?
 
Huge cannons are painfully slow. Turrets are not a good use of capacitor. The Corvette is agile. I'm not a fan.

Until we get more huge hardpoint options I'd stick with PAs. Maybe MCs/cannons on the small/medium hardpoints so you can put more capacitor into plasma. That'd leave you with the large hardpoint under the nose to experiment with. Maybe a fixed beam, maybe a gimballed pulse for plinking? Maybe a frag?
 
Crazy, every time I Theory craft a vette, I thank god for my cutter.

In any case, if I were to only touch the weapons without modifying anything else:

Two C4 G Cannons
Two C2 T Burst Lasers
C3 G Burst Lasers
Two C1 T Multicannons.

And that's to accommodate the rest of the build.


However; I fly a cutter and only place turrets on the nacelles. Everything else is gimbaled and I have a c4 PA (fixed).

The Vette is Way More capable in pitching. Ditch the excessive shields, get two C4PA's. You should be able to stay on target and pour pain on anything in your sights. The shields are not as important.
