Cosmetic item: Holographic Picture Frame (Holoframe)

Within the past week, how many motivational quotes or inspirational posters have you seen? Do you have a favorite picture of a family member you enjoy seeing from time to time? Do you sometimes feel burnt out from grinding out contract after contract and need a reminder that speaks for itself? With the addition of a purchasable "Holoframe", Commanders can add a more personal touch to the interior of their ship.


Okay, now that my cheesy intro is over, here's how it'd work. Once a Commander has found a picture they would like to use, they can copy the image into a folder within the program files (much like customizing the HUD colors). Once a "Holoframe" is purchased (placement position would have to be determined by the purchasing CMDR) , it would detect and use the image file. A small addition, yes, but certainly one which could greatly increase customization.


Any thoughts or critiques to this idea is certainly welcome.

I guess this would be more probable if put on a spring like other decorations... :)

I am not sure Frontier likes in-game objects that can show custom images they have no control over, there might be some legal issues.

My concern with it being on a spring is that moving the image in a spring-like fashion could cause some issues with rendering, but being on a podium could certainly be a nice touch.

The legal issue is a valid point. Perhaps in the new folder designed for storing the image file(s), there could be a disclaimer regarding any legal issues which could occur. That way, should anything arise, it would be sent to the player, not Frontier.
