Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Could Aisling create a new faction?

Hi,

I was just reading through all key people in the game and Aisling doesn't seem to fit inside the Empire.

She is against slavery, narcotics and much more. She is against everything other key people in Empire are fighting for.

Thank you

she is a princess of the empire and (i think) first in succession to the throne after the current emperor/empress, even more after female emperors/empress are a thing now.

so - i don't think it is easy like you suggest. more likely she could attempt to change the empire on a very basic level, by claiming the throne after the current empress dead.

or she could take a power grab and seperate from the empire if she had enough followers.

If we had game-mechanics for this, it would be awesome - imo.

Don't know if on the forum we can have an impact on powerplay in-game. For example, if we are 1'000 in the forum to make Aisling quite empire and create a new alliance, don't know if it will change in-game in a next update. Could be cool though.

Whatever, outside of me, do you think Aisling should quite Empire? Do you think she is still fiting in the Empire?

Thank you

The issue with players trying to change things with powers, is FD is the boss and running the game. If they don't like what the players are doing, they just move the goal posts. Especially if it is not in-line with FDs script.

Aisling is not Anti empire, but rather a reformer within the empire.
Not everyone within the empire has the same ideas, but that does not mean Aisling will be changing allegiance.
Rather Aisling will be trying to bring about change from within the empire and beyond.

That is what you think. But since Arissa got Empress no one can know what Aislings plans are. Maybe she is disgruntled enough to support a seggregation from the Empire. You'll never know what thoughts turn around this pretty blue-haired head.

Comon guy, your motives with this reasoning are transparent, Federal propaganda has been around for some time.

Judging from this question you posted on reddit: Is it really true that undermining a system where a enemy expansion is going on helpts to oppose it?

You still have some ways to go in the nuances of the Empire and the game. Aislings lore is indeed not seperatist but reformist.

Lore being lore, she still has a claim to the throne as a Duval.

Evidently, if you feel strongly about it, why dont you join the good comminity that is Aisling Duval.

There is always to learn more in this beautyful universe! Can't deny to speak from a Federal point of view, very true Peach. : )

Princess Aisling sure got my respect as the most reformist power in the Empire I know of. Still I am a swron in Hudson fighter pilot. I guess Aisling won't need many guys like me in her ranks.

Regards! And let me know if there are any words of Aisling getting seperatist. I might be intersted. Still I never will be 5C - thats a vow of honor. [up]

Aixit has some logic to it, but I think it would be dangerous as well, undermining her influence among Imperial systems which might find they don't support her so much when doing so threatens their patriotism.

Aisling is (comparatively) young, she's like Simba. Instead of taking her place in the Empire, she's off freeing bugs with Timon and Pumbaa. But when it's time for her to step up and become Emperor, she will with all the flair, grace and patriotism of the Emperor's before her. Possibly on a rock. In the rain.

I would like her to split away and build her own Empire.
More or less that's what we are doing right now anyway. We flip Systems to cooperative (Broker) which are Independent.
We are forced to by design! So why should ED not go the full way and build the cooperative Empire with aislings ideals.

Jeremy Corbyn said that, look how it's working out for him.

When she gets into power she will be like Daenerys, only not on fire so much. And less slutty. Slightly less slutty. Mark my words.

Sorry to write in this old topic, but it's kind of related...

Do you think it's possible to make alliance between factions? I'm thinking about creating a group, but don't know if it should be independant or with Aisling. I really like that Aisling is trying to reform stuffs, but if I'm the futur, me and my group want to become a Major Faction, it will not be possible if we are with Aisling... We could be a minor faction, but Major Faction can only be independant... Or maybe I'm wrong?
Whatever, I know that becoming a Major Faction is very rare and maybe it will never happen, but was just thinking about this.

Back on topic, not a lot of stuffs are happening in the Imperial Empire right now.

If memory serves me right, Pileus Libertas, one of the major Aisling groups (based in Munshin with a player faction called the Libertas Co-operative) competed in the Dangerous Games to become a major faction.

Sadly they didn't succeed. But if they had done, I'm sure they'd have remained friendly with the rest of us.

Think of Aisling vs Arissa as Republicans vs Democrats. They have wildly differing visions for the future of the Empire, but neither would be particularly interested in starting a new one.
