I still don't see the reason to own a FC atm, if it's nothing more than me renting an +5 BILLION CREDITS mobile parking garage for my ships.
If I wanted to park my ships I'll go to Shinrarta Dezhra and park my ships there for FREE. ...and YES I have enough credits to by a couple of them FC's...I just hate throwing $$$ out of the window for nothing in return.
I would like them to be more like capital ships for different scenarios and have offensive, defensive & utilitarian capabilities.
Mining ships should have large refineries, storage and multiple prospector and collector limpet controllers. Trading ships should have large cargo racks and plenty of armor, shielding.
Pirate and Mercenary ships should have landing pads galore for rapid attack ship deployment.
How about a Battle Star Galactica type carrier with TONS of cannons and ship launched fighters?

Now THAT would be FUN to bring that into Power Play...bring those Fleet Carriers into the fray against Federation or Imperial capital ships!!!
FD devs...I don't mind grinding, IF there's something fun in return. I don't want "bragging rights" if there isn't anything more to brag about other than: "I soullessly lazered rocks for hours and hours and only got an Tokyo priced parking garage to show for".
