So, I was just grinding on Sorna a bit and finished the mission “The Scientific Community” which unlocks the Mamenchisaurus. Now I was super hyped, and got ready to go into research to research the fossil when, poof, the fossil was already researched! Now I most definitely know I did not research it, but hey, I saw this as an absolute win! So I go into Expedition Map and hype is gone. Site depleted, and it shows that the Mamenchisaurus is not showing on the dinosaur list. Don’t know if it’s a bug or what, but I’m disappointed. If the site does eventually repeats or whatever, will I even be able to get it if it’s not on the list? Please help. (P.S. sorry mods couldn’t find a bug or help category.)

The Mamenchisaurus is found in the Ziliujing Formation in Asia.
Do you have working expedition centers on all the islands, including Isla Sorna?
Make sure you have them on all islands because this will make dig sites open up that are depleted

I have not encountered this myself, are you running this game on PC? I am running mine on PS4 and it turned out okay with dinosaur unlocks.
Also are you able to go bak to a previous save state to unlock the dinosaur again?

PS4, and I saved it thinking I had got it.
I do have one on Sorna, but I will most definitely check my if I have one on every other list island as soon as possible.
Well if you have done the mission and got the dinosaur unlocked, I would go and check the research section again to see if the memenchisaurus is selectable to research. Maybe it was not researched yet.
If not, could you post pictures of your research dinosaur page, division growth bars, and the expedition? That way we could help identify the problem.
Well, for the first part it did show it was checked and researched, and I can’t take pictures currently. :/
