Yes - rather than geological activity only being at a few specific points, it's spread out over the planet.Planet is 100% scanned, result 3 geological signals. In Horizon I just had to select them in the nav panel. Now they do not show up (already checked filters). Is there a change I did not realized?
Same with biological, all planets in a few shades of blue. Edit: i was wrong, for biological filters workI did't understand the new heatmap-not-an-heatmap-anymore system too, if i select geological features i have all the planet, or most of it, in a couple of shades of blue (and this far all planets i visited until now), and i don't understand how to see those 2-3 geological features

I also like the new mechanic (at least the idea), but I'm not able to track down geo sites. They are not in a destinct colour. How did you manage to differantiate? Also switch to the backside of a planet is not working for me.of course, once you do track-on to a geo site (the finding of which mechanic now is actually one of the few things i like about EDO... more explorer-like fun to hunt and scout then just show up at a target location), it's pretty pointless since all formations are bugged and will give only the same resource... have fun sourcing your jumponium, commanders...!![]()

Ah, that would make sense. And the darker the blue the more likely to find a vent / geyser etc.)?I think the number of geologicol / biological items is not the number of locations, it is rather the number of different types of "codex-entries" (e.g. vents, geysers, fungii, etc. ).
As far as I've observed it, the different shades in the filter is just the topography. darker shades are mountains lighter shades lowlands.Ah, that would make sense. And the darker the blue the more likely to find a vent / geyser etc.)?
Thank's, I scanned only a few planets so far, all 90% blue, I think they should at least make a real heatmap, otherwise I miss the point hereAs far as I've observed it, the different shades in the filter is just the topography. darker shades are mountains lighter shades lowlands.
About the backside, yeah, it's not working properly for me as well (i see only for an instant the scanned areas on the backside)I also like the new mechanic (at least the idea), but I'm not able to track down geo sites. Hmm, maybe more realistic indeed, but I would love to see some of the mentiones "ram packed vents" This is also reality. Earth is not a typical planet, I know, however we have a lot of these places (Island, some places in Italy....)I think the heat map is working just fine, any of the planets I scanned that went 90% blue had the specific feature everywhere, drive and fly in any direction and find what you're looking for.
It's more realistic now, flying to a planet in Horizons just to find 3 locations ram packed with vents and then an entirely barren planet was weird.

In the dss interface after youcompleted a full probe scan of the planet, you'll see the filter in the high center of the screen, but only if the planet has features to filterI don't even understand how your doing the filtering .... help me here. Is there a keybind i should have set somewhere?
