Could we have a sandbox setting for how active animals are?

Talked about this on a post about Planet Zoo 2, and realized it could maybe be implemented into the current game. Or can it?

I'd love to be able, at least in sandbox, to scale back how active animals are. Lowest being "realistic" (a lot of sleeping, foraging, wading, and grazing) and the highest option being for players who want their animals to be constantly entertaining them. (Lots of running and playing.) I think more realistically-built zoos would look so much better without the animals running around constantly, so I'd personally play with the most realistic setting. I think if Frontier implemented this, we'd wonder how we ever lived without it.

I agree with this. I often wish we could just slow things down, especially with animals like big cats which tend to save their energy as much as possible.

Is there a way I can @ a moderator about this post? I put it in feedback, but it was moved to general discussion for some reason, which makes no sense because this is definitely feedback for the devs.

I'd love this, but I do wonder how easy it would be to implement....probably not very. The idea of having something like this be part of a "personality make up" like the genetic settings are would have been great and maybe something for PZ2 - if they're playful or less so (hate to say lazy lol), if they're social or loners, if they're curious or timid...things like that would really make each animal feel more unique. It could affect how well they share their habitats with others, or how much enrichment they would need (they can have too little but the less active ones wouldn't ever have "too much")...all things along that nature. Really make each animal feel slightly different, even though it would just be programming wise more or less of certain animations being the end result.

But that's on a per animal level, like the genetics are. It would be interesting to see how this would work from an over all zoo management perspective as you suggest.

The Feedback section is feedback on something that's already in the game. :) Moved it over to Suggestions for ya (y)
