Could we have information about ship dimensions and mass?

I don't mind if the numbers end up changing a little. The ship models seem very final, and the devs surely have this information.

I'd love to see the dimensions of all the ships released so far, and any other they have for share.

It would be fun to compare the sizes of the Elite space ships to real world ships and planes, like the huge An-225

84 meters long, and carries nearly 250 tons of cargo.

Kind of related, I'm wondering how much fuel we are going to end up needing? I mean a sidewinder only has 4 tons available. If I need say 2 tons of fuel for a jump and supercruise that doesn't leave lots of room for cargo.
It may have already been mentioned in the archives but I've not spotted it.

Ship pics, stats etc. would be great. I know a lot of work/thought went into the design of the ship models - would be nice to actually SEE them and better understand something about them!

I think at the moment, trade goods, weapon purchase, and ship trade-in areas are very bare-bones (and probably deliberately so).
The functionality is there, but we've yet to see each area fleshed-out.
I would hope that eventually, these aspects would look as good as the galactic map, which IMO is very nice for a first-iteration (we know the system map part is still a WIP).

You don't have to be from London to recognize Big Ben.

Of course not, but recognising a landmark and being familiar with it's scale are not the same thing. I saw countless pictures of the clock tower before I saw it in reality, and it was much larger than I had assumed. I've heard the opposite often said of an even more famous landmark, the Statue of Liberty.

That is the 'blueprint' sheet for the Sidewinder. I am yet to see something similar for the Cobra.

I used this data to create two size comparison images, using the massive a380 as a reference.

Nice comparisons guys. :)

I would hope the devs would release more teaser info. I know they've chosen to play things close to the chest, but a little would go a long way. They released those _awesome_ blueprints of the Sidwinder and the short range fighters early on.... and no followups :(

It would be nice even to see a visual comparison that means more to people who aren't from London ;)
If only the dimensions of the clock tower weren't such a mystery!

Alas, I heard Boris Johnson personally scours the internet for that information and purges it wherever he finds it. Still, keeps him off the streets.

Oh, now that's kinda small... especially compared to a station. So, the luxury liners will not be much bigger then a large airliner or small cruise ship then?

Parliament Clock Tower (sometimes called Big Ben) is 55m tall. The Anaconda looks to be 1.5 to 2 times as long as the tower is tall, giving a length of somewhere between 82m and 110m. That's pretty much guesswork based off the comparison rendering though.

The size of a capital ship is also impressive compared to an anaconda

I'm fairly sure the tower is closer to 100m tall.
