With the secrets of Dr.Wu DLC, we have gotten several new operations that could be used in our parks in JWE. These are:
• Improved Marketing
• Improved Lawyers
• Improved Construction
• Hatchery Insurance
• Feeder Cost Reduction
• Transport team speed increase
They are here for us to use in our parks to help manage costs of certain assets, income, and speed of our transportation units. They are very helpful in the main campaign and sandbox mode. However, I genuinely believe they are too expensive to use in challenge mode.
The costs of these upgrades would make sense in the main campaign, as that is when we have control of 8 different maps at the same time, there are no Hammond Fees, and that the campaign would reward players millions of dollars when a story mission is done. So these prices are pretty easy to come by for our upgrades, and sandbox mode would automatically unlock them for players to use.
However, in challenge mode, these prices are too expensive to see as an optional upgrade. It feels like more of a detriment to spend $4,000,000 on the first upgrade of these global operations where money is more of a concern in this mode's park building. I would find myself only ever going for the 1st Hatchery insurance upgrade on a medium difficulty playthrough, but won't bother with anything else as I don't find the benefits to justify the costs of the upgrade. I don't even bother looking at them in Hard and Jurassic Difficulties as money is even harder to come by. The only global operations I would actively use in any difficulty is the transport team speed increase. It's cost of $1,000,000 for the service it provides makes it a worthwhile investment for my parks.
It would cost $4,000,000 for the first purchase, a total to $12,000,000 if I wish to invest in a 2.0 version, and a total of $24,000,000 if I want to get the 3.0 of that global operations. This is really expensive as if you want to benefit all 3.0 versions of the global operations, it will set you back a total of $120,000,000 dollars. That money is more than enough to build your park from the ground up to have it be financially sustainable and potentially have it near the end goal of 5 starring the map.
So for the challenge mode playthrough, could we have these costs be lowered? Like by a quarter of their original price. It would allow players to look at them as potential upgrades that would benefit their parks at a more attractive price point that would justify their services.
So instead of:
1.0 = $4,000,000
2.0 = $8,000,000
3.0 = $12,000,000
It will be:
1.0 = $1,000,000
2.0 = $2,000,000
3.0 = $4,000,000.
Making the initial purchase of the global operations services tempting and affordable, with their upgrades being what takes more of an investment from the players without it being too detrimental to our challenge mode parks.
