I do like them as well. IIRC, the fossil zone and gift shop made great corner pieces to place on crossroads. Their designs were interesting enough to give it an aesthetic focal point. The new ones, not so much. They're better suited for mid section shops along a path. Also, the trash area starts on the last 1/3 of the new designs, which makes them somewhat annoying to fit in to some areas and still be pleasing to the eye.
If for no other reason, they should add them because a) diversity is always welcome, and b) why not? The majority of the work is already done.
@Paleoguy posted also a thread on this not too long ago, and it's an idea I'm strongly in favour of.
