The self-destruct sequence should require two keys turned simultaneously, then trigger a 60 minute countdown sequence with regular updates from the ship computer. "You now have 15 minutes to reach minimum safe distance." A klaxon and spinning red lights are a must.

Its good where it is but it should need you to type your CMDR name in twice followed by a "Are you sure Dave" conformation box

I agree that self destruct should have an abort button of course this magic button would only work in the last second or two of the count down as all good abort buttons do

Or train your cats not to walk on furniture. Not sure what the device called but it hooks into a can of air when they get on the table it sprays. They learn right away not to get on the furniture. I have 4 2/3 cats that do not walk on the table or desk. They will go to the chair, couch or bed which is fine.

The 2/3 is Brother and mother to one of my cats a when the owner out of town or too cold so the brother and mother will come in.

I think the self destruct option should be behind some sort of 'lock'.
