Counter Strike bases should offer docking

What is the purpose of having CZ's at bases in counter strikes if you can't use the docking for repairs and rearming? It would have been great if it was a "Prep System" for a week and bring supplies and kill thargoids to bring the station back online as a completion reward. I've been fighting at HIP 30158 https://inara.cz/elite/thargoidwar-conflict/19656/ but the lack of commanders wanting to fight in a system where you have no docking services is the primary reason why it continues to stay a counter strike and never gets cleared. We would have had 3x the number of commanders helping out. Also the progress resets back down to 0% after 7 days which sucks for all those that killed hundreds of thargoids. I use to look forward to reset to fight in the new invasions for alerts that did not clear but now that we might not have them anymore due to alerts being cleared, I don't have anything to look forward to anymore. If there isn't an increase of commander shifting over to counter strikes I'll just clear alerts and ignore counter strikes also. We can stay at a forever stalemate with the thargoids.
 
Agreed. Invasion planetary (non-swarm, large pads), are a fun and rewarding place to play. Counter Strike systems are frustrating.

Counter Strike systems need a NPC carrier in place for rearm and repair at the CZs. If you get a bad bit of damage then you've gotta jump out and lose the instance.

I managed to survive a low to the end of the first bit today. But by the time the Hydra was there, my ship was largely toast, my ammo was low, NPCs were scattered, and you bet there were no commanders.
 
I checked out the link you shared, and it seems like fighting at HIP 30158 is quite challenging without docking services. I agree that more commanders would probably join in if there were better facilities available. It's a bummer that the progress resets after 7 days, especially for those who put in a lot of effort. I used to look forward to the resets, too, but now it feels a bit different. By the way, guys, just curious to know what you think about CS2. I like it so far, but I'm curious what others think.

Well.. you are in enemy land. Im not sure a safe haven there would feel right.

That being said, if a change could be made to counters so they were tripple staged:
Stage 1: Establish beachhead. NPC carriers jump in and CZ's evolve around then. If successful then...
Stage 2: Carriers stay in place, but more CZ's around the systems stations (thats still locked down and undockable). If still successful then..
Stage 3: Alert like state - minmal station activity but dockable.

If a stage fails system reverts to previous state. If stage one fails it costs at least a weeks cooldown.
