Counter to hyperdiction (or it's removal, please)

I'm writing this thread because for the third day on the bounce, the hyperdiction script has pulled my away from what I was doing and made me sit through the script while it runs itself out - controls disconnected, nothing to do but sit out the delay until you can resume your journey.

I actually didn't sit through it, I ctrl-alt-deleted out and had to re-start, which was also a pain in the backside.

The script has had it's day - it's nothing more than an annoyance now, so please can it either be killed off, or at least put a counter in (like the interdiction mini-game you get when regular interdictions are attempted) so that people who don't want the hassle of letting old, boring scripts interrupt their game play can at least have a chance to skip it.

Field neutraliser and then jump out straight away? It only happens regularly 150 Ly from Merope. We're in their space, that's why it's happening. Apart from that, stop being a salty little and enjoy the game. Eat a bag of CMDR.

Wow - one of the defining interactions from the entire series, so rare many haven't had one, which you can counteract the anti-EMP trivially. Shame on you.

Have you considered switching to NMS, or even SC :D

How many have you had that you're bored of them?

I've had 3, the last was 3 basilisks and I was carrying a probe. Squeaky bum time

Hmmm, probes and bums in the same line, happy accident or tasteless ...

Kilo, you combat logged on the AI? :D Man, that's low...

As the guys have said, there are already ways to avoid the terrible experience you have to endure. Mainly variations on 'get gud'! ;) Merry Crimbo dude, hope you don't have to suffer too many more of these...

The defining interaction of the whole series is a scripted non-interactive loading screen? Yes, i believe you...

Ever heard of a Field Neutraliser? And high waking? It is no longer scripted in fact

On a more serious note, I haven't used any anti-xeno hardware so I'm a bit confused here. I believe there is something you can fit that prevents the Thargoid's shut-you-down beam from working, but I was under the impression that only worked in Non-Human Signal Sources and not the hyperdiction from Witchspace. Is that not the case? Can we take control after a hyperdiction now, and pursue the Thargoid before it runs away?

I've only been hyperdicted three times, and they were all early on when I wasn't carrying anything alien so they just shut me down, scanned me and left. Do they pose an actual threat if you're carrying Thargoid tech or AX gear?

EDIT: I just read R34per's post so it looks like these scenarios are now interactive. Cool.
