Coup is not triggering :/

I leveled up my faction to 65% against the pirate party with 18% and it's been a week and we're still sitting in NONE. I checked if there are any blocking conflicts and there wasn't any. Why is that? I read that many times that if the conflict emerged from a coop has the priority over anything that was supposed to be in the system.

A coup is just a conflict with a different condition to set it pending, so any of civil war, war or election - pending, active or recovering - on either faction will block it.

Which ones do the block? I thought coup can override any other states.

If a war is pending, active or in cooldown in any other system, it'll block that. You can't short-circuit conflict with conflict. A "coup" as you refer to it is no different in function to any other conflict state.

I am not going to add to "check if there is a blocking state" because the people above done a good job saying it. But an easy way to look is to go to your system where you attempt the coup and look at faction status in the "news" portion of the main board. It will tell you right there if there are such blocking states pending or otherwise.

As mentioned, the answer is likely in your local news.

With really no details from you, best guess is that the faction you are attempting to go to war with just might be in a state of similar type already, in another system.
Especially likely if its been a whole week..
If they are not present in any other systems and neither are you, then there may be something to report.
but if you or they are in a conflict in any other system, then that would be your block....
